For Grantseekers
Masto Foundation is constantly striving to implement more equitable grantmaking in our own practice and the broader field of philanthropy.
Based on these values, we have committed to supporting the vast majority of our current nonprofit partners and those we have pledged support with multi-year funding. This type of funding promotes solidarity with our partners and better ensures long-lasting impact in the communities they serve, but it limits our ability to make new grants.
All of our funding for 2023 and 2024 has been promised to organizations that fit within our funding scope and we are not accepting unsolicited proposals at this time. We will continue to invite prospective new partners when more funds are available to be distributed.
If you are a representative of a grassroots organization led by/for people of color and/or LGBTQ+ people with a strong commitment to promoting equity, justice, and power-building in communities that have experienced systemic discrimination - we are open to speaking with you. If you would like to have a conversation, knowing that we currently do not have any funding opportunities available, please fill out the contact form and we will get back to you. We appreciate your work and know that the system of philanthropy is difficult to navigate particularly for communities that have experienced discrimination and been denied access to wealth-building for generations. If there is a way that we can assist by sharing knowledge or giving feedback from our experience in philanthropy, please feel free to reach out.
