Two-Spirit & Native LGBTQ+ Center for Equity (2S Center)

The Two-Spirit & Native LGBTQ+ Center for Equity (2S Center) is the very first of its kind! The purpose of the 2S Center is to support violence prevention efforts and promote resiliency among Two-Spirit and Native LGTBQ+ community members. They provide direct training and technical assistance to community programs, grassroots organizers, tribal coalitions, and Tribal Nations that seek to enhance violence intervention and prevention policy and programming/services.

The 2S Center engages tribal communities to support inclusive programming services, capacity building & development, and community education & awareness of Two-Spirit and Native LGBTQ+ issues in both Native and non-Native settings. They are a national advocacy organization pushing for Two-Spirit and Native LGBTQ+ voices and experiences to be actively involved in decision-making and policy development. They outreach to national tribal organizations and regional Two-Spirit Societies and encourage collaboration and discussion on national and local/tribal policy impacts on Two-Spirit and Native LGBTQ+ communities. These work activities are focused on both urban and rural Native communities and encompass an intergenerational approach.

Black LGBTQIA+ Migrant Project

The Black LGBTQIA+ Migrant Project (BLMP) envisions a world without forced migration, where no one is forced to give up their homeland and where all Black LGBTQIA+ people are free and liberated. We build and center the power of Black LGBTQIA+ migrants to ensure the liberation of ALL Black people through Organizing, Base-Building, Strategic Communications, and Long- Term Viability and Sustainability. We are led by a directly impacted steering committee, and staff, and operate organizing networks in regions throughout the United States, while connecting to the fight for Black liberation in our home countries.
